The Objects of the Corporation

1. To ensure that persons with developmental disabilities or other handicapping conditions live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively;
2. To establish, operate and maintain a comprehensive range of programs and services for such persons and their families and to cooperate with other agencies, organizations, groups and government departments which provide similar programs and services;
3. To provide and operate non-profit residential accomodation and incidental facilities thereto exclusively for persons with disabilities primarily of low income;
4. To assist such persons in realizing their potential within the community;
5. To promote the well being, rights, education, personal development, welfare and interests of such persons and to cooperate with other agencies, organizations, groups and government departments having a similar purpose;
6. To promote a better understanding of persons with developmental disabilities or other handicapping conditions within the community;
7. To further the training and education of personnel and volunteers who work with, or on behalf of persons with developmental disabilities or other handicapping conditions;
8. To support social, medical and scientific research and studies pertaining to persons with developmental disabilities and other handicapping conditions;
9. To provide opportunities whereby individuals, groups, agencies or organizations, who share the purpose and objects of the Corporation, are able to become involved with the Corporation;
10. To inform the general public about the objects and services of the Corporation.
